Yakovlev Yak-3M D-FYGJ

Telling a story about this particular aircraft is a hard job, cause there is nothing special to tell. The aircraft was “born” in the nintees, the first owner was Gunnel Aviation, Santa Monica (California). Lots of the “new” Yakovlev were registered by Gunnell Aviation. 470204 is listed there in 1993. The aircraft was sold to Brent Hisey in Oklahoma City (OK). The fighter got the registration N3338Y on 5th Dezember 1997. Today the owner of this aircraft is Stephen Stead. The airplane with the german registration D-FYGJ is stored and maintained in our facility.
So short the history, so beautiful this particular aircraft. We translated the finish ideas of our customer on the plane and in fact, that fighter is really an eyecatcher. Congrats Stephen to this beauty and always keep your winglevel.
